Another autumn song is “Ramble On” by Led Zepplin. The song was included in their album in 1969 Led Zepplin II. Rolling Stone included the song at 440 in their list of 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. I can’t say that I am a big fan of this song but since I am writing about autumn songs then this is the next one. I think that many times we read or hear about people who move on or change location when the seasons change. I am probably the only one who broke this pattern because I moved on in the summer and not during the change of season. I know that Latvian traditions have it that people who lived in the country and got work on a farm stayed there through several seasons but once spring had come on April 23rd it was traditional for these workers to move on if they did not like the condition at the farm where they worked. What is interesting about this date is that it was also my dad’s birthday and he was born in Ranka in the countryside in Latvia. How many of you think that the change of seasons makes people restless and that they decide to move if they can? Who knows this song?

I know the song. Change of seasons is subtle to non-existent in Southern California.
