Are anti-abortion laws really a good thing?

I can't help but wonder if having a law (anti-abortion laws) to save an unwanted fetuses is really a good idea. How many times do you hear or read about children being abused, beaten, raped or murdered? I knew a women who had two children. Neither she or her ex-husband (the children's father) wanted them so they passed the boys back and forth. If they couldn't pass the kids off to each other they would try passing them off to some other family member. One time, after her 8 year old son tried to hug her, the mother pushed him away and said, "I hate when he does that, it makes my skin crawl!". Both of the boys are now drug addicts and homeless. They never experienced a loving relationship. To my knowledge, they were never beaten or physically abused but have psychological damage and never really had anything close to a loving family. Why should unwanted children be made to suffer? Another thing to think about, these so called "pro-life" politicians who can't stand abortion but constantly vote to take funding away from or eliminate pre-natal care, mother and child assistance programs, childrens nutrition programs, school lunch programs, ect. To me, pro-life politicians should work to make such programs better not eliminate them. "Pro-life" should really mean PRO-LIFE! I have also read about members of the U.S.Congress who are "pro-life" until their mistress gets pregnant, then they insist on the women having an abortion.

Abortion is still illegal in my country too. I am pro-life so it is okay to me. I think the fault lies in the parents themselves. They should not procreate if they can't care for the child properly or they should at least give the child for adoption so they can have a chance at a good life/family

Such politicians are hypocrites indeed. I think we should value life even if it's an unborn fetus. What happens after the child is born, we will never know. We cannot just decide to abort just because the pregnancy was accidental.

Poverty and curruption is the main reason for most of the problem in every country. One example here the popullation. that is why unwated children is unstopable and one immediate solution to some is the abbortion. Hopefully corruption will end all over the world.

Abortion is illegal in my country but I see so many kids abused but they are saved. I only believe killing is killing whether its a kid or just a foetus
