Donald Trump began creating this atmosphere long ago with his birther campaign and then his support of conservatives and Republicans who marched in the streets burning and hanging Obama in effigy, spouting vitriol against Obama, his wife, and their children, and he helped finance and fan the flames of racial hatred, bigotry, white fear, and xenophobia in this country to help himself get elected. He appealed to the very worst in white people and convinced them he was their only hope to keep America from becoming too racially and ethnically diverse. He also, from the outset of his campaign, attacked the free press and freedom of speech that didn't agree with his distorted worldview or high personal opinion of himself. Those who compare what Donald Trump and his followers have done and continue to do to this country to anything the Dems or the left have done are simply drinking the orange kool-aid and believe deeply in his message of hate.

@Susan2015 One Republican was shot by a Bernie Sanders supporter (not a Democrat, by the way) and the Dems were loud in their condemnation of the act. Multiple pipe bombs were mailed to dozens of Democrats in a mass assassination attempt and Trump blames everyone but his own hateful rhetoric and divisive behavior. How many Democrats have offered to pay the legal bills of their supporters if they are arrested for committing violence against conservatives, Republicans, or the media? None. But Trump has offered to do just that.

Very well said, D W. This needed to be said. And I am glad it was you who said it. But here is another thing we all need to focus on and that is how our nation has put off doing anything about abrupt global climate change from the deep rooted ignorance and narrow mindedness that has resulted in putting off doing anything for 12 straight years to this date. Look at this and then take time to really think about the things that matter most for all of us.
It was once a bipartisan issue, but now one of America's major parties acts like climate science doesn't exist. This is an updated version of a video we publ...

When we elect a traitor, expect him to do traitorous things. I am not sure what it is going to take to see this man does not care about anything but himself. The real sad thing is he is playing the victim card because so many are mad at him for inflaming this behavior. I tell you what Mr President, you think people are being hard on you now, imagine if those packages did Kill The Obama's and the Clinton's, would have been way worse than the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Yet, his supporters still backing him and choosing to make up stories to protect this traitor who seems to be more dangerous than some of worse world leaders that hate us with false flags and all the media's fault. I wonder if they would be saying that if Bill Clinton and former President Obama was assassinated by bomb. Sad times.

And to put it all into proper focus, looking at the bigger picture, to all of us as the most important thing to be concerned about, look at this article on a YouTube video about the IPCC report and what it all means.

@Susan2015 , I respect your valid points. I also know that you are a true American patriot. If only Trump could just be a little more polite is all I am talking about here.

@Susan2015 , Exactly, both sides need to tone it down and stop the finger pointing and blaming game and show some solidarity for once. We will not survive as a free nation as long as this division is occurring. The word United means we are able to unite with one another and not be so argumentative. I know there is a lot on their plate and we all want change for the good of everyone. It is pretty simple actually. I do tire of all the news reports lately. So much negativity you can slice it with a knife. In fact, if the media shut up about Trump a lot of the heated rhetoric would die down I think. But they fuel the fires themselves and have a responsibility to do better not co instigate hostilities.

Hearing anyone slam our president, and not just Trump but any of our presidents turns my stomach. I've never done so and never will. The only thing I do where our President is concerned is pray for them. 2 Timothy 2:1.

@Susan2015 , So very true. I have a lot of faith that we will eventually turn it all around and start working together. We have to if we are to be united and move forward with more optimism , confidence in the leadership of our country and have hope for the future of America because America can be great again. Under one flag, one God, With liberty and justice for all. For sure, God bless America.

I feel the same way. They sure did find the man behind it all in a hurry, the man behind the pipe bombs that is. Talk about luck.

@lookatdesktop I read that they found a fingerprint on one of the bombs sent to Maxine Waters. He has already been arrested multiple times so his prints were in the system.

I wish he would try to tone it down a few notches. People are getting out of control and acting irrationally. Don't get bored people, get information and use it to make things better.
We have 12 years left to stop the worst consequences of climate change. This is a crisis that cannot be ignored any longer.

No matter what the leaders of our countries say good or bad, they are our leaders and we should give them the benefit of doubt and there has been too much anger and hostility on both sides and also a lot of hope and optimism on both sides but we all need to come together eventually to resolve differences and unite as we need to get so we can start moving forward in a positive way.
