Rogue Shooter Kills Ten At Pittsburgh Synagogue

Mass murder comes to the Steel City. Squirrel Hill was the scene of the most recent mass shooting. The Tree of Life synagogue (5898 Wilkins Avenue) was the scene of the shooting that has, so far, resulted in ten confirmed deaths and an unknown number of injuries. Amongst the injured are four Pittsburgh police officers and member of the SWAT team. Injured persons were sent to local emergency rooms with the most severe being sent to UPMC Presbyterian (200 Lothrop Street). At present moment one shooter is in custody; Robert Bowers was taken to a local hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds he received when in negotiations with police officers to surrender. This is not the first time that Pittsburgh has experienced such violence. In 2009 three Pittsburgh police officers were shot and killed in the Morningside / Stanton Heights area of the city.
