Nothing says fall like pumpkins, great pumpkins, pumpkin spice

I saw this display at the Farmers' Market on Saturday, I thought of all the pumpkins being carved and thought of Linus in the pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin to show up with presents for all the boys and girls. Then the smell of pumpkin spice hit me and I thought of all the lattes and cider and drinks and pastries of all kinds that are flavored like that. Actually, I think it smells better than it tastes. I rarely try anything with that flavor. How about you? Are you a pumpkin spice lover?

I don't love it, no. It's rather annoying really. I like cinnamon and some of the spices but mixed I guess.

No not at all. The smell is amazing but I'm just not big into the taste.

Yes, that is sort of odd that the aroma is better than the flavor.

Yes, I love pumpkin both the smell and the taste, they do tend to over do it these days with pumpkin everything though.

I like pumpkin spices in a pumpkin pie but I find they taste awful added to a coffee and milk or other kind of food.

Shhh....don't tell anybody, but I am a huge pumpkin spice lover! In fact, as I sit here myLotting, I have a pumpkin spice latte sitting on one side of my laptop, and a lit pumpkin spice candle sitting on the other side. I look forward to this time of year just for the pumpkin spice! LOL

@JamesHxstatic Haha, I catch so much hell from my friends for being a fan of pumpkin spice. But I've always liked the taste/small, it reminds me of many wonderful childhood memories.

I actually like subbing in yams when I make pumpkin pie. I find it sweeter and tastier.

@JamesHxstatic Your Mother was smart. Maybe cause I only use dates for a sweetener, the yams taste better.

@sol_cee Lots of sun and lots of water. The record in the US this year is 2528 pounds. You would need a chain saw to carve it.

I have a container of "pie spice" that I use in baking. I have mixed it up myself. That is what I use. I do not put it in coffee, or on weird things, I do not buy fragranced items scented with pumpkin spice. I use it year around, though.
