It's Been a Difficult Few Days

Happy Tuesday Everyone! It's been a very hard few days here. Normally my life is full of joy and I have little to complain about. But, occasionally we're hit with a curve ball that is unexpected and it takes a little longer to bounce back. As I previously wrote....my daughter in law had to have surgery. It was a successful surgery and it will be weeks for her recovery. I praise God for His healing and thank you all for your prayers. I'm sure they were instrumental in her surgery and will continue to heal her. On top of this, my dear friend passed away so that was a shock. The funeral is tomorrow and I feel like I'm living under a cloud. Sometimes it's hard to deal with things we have no control over and believe there's a reason for all of it. Yesterday was the anniversary of my moms passing away and I kept asking her to watch over my daughter in law as she underwent her surgery. Usually I'm an upbeat type of person but today I feel like the sky has fallen on me. I don't know how much time I'll have to spend here. My head is just one big fog. I'll be back in a few days but in the meantime I will try to pop in here to see what's happening. Again, thank you all for your good wishes, thoughts and prayers.

I'm glad that the surgery went well. I hope she has a speedy recovery. As long as we're alive, we are going to experience some sad events. Life is like that. Continue to draw strength and courage from our Heavenly Father!

I'm sure that your Mom was there in that OR yesterday, guiding the surgical staff to make your daughter-in-law's surgery successful. She'd be looking down on her family in a loving way like that. You take all of the time that you need. Grieve, it will do your heart good.
