My Deaf Phone

Last week I've tried to call anyone on this phone, even the hot line but I couldn't hear anything. They could hear me but I couldn't hear them somewhere. I bought this for Mom but later I've inherited it, now it has broken audio. Do you think I need a new phone or just have it fix? I can still send messages but can't hear any calls. I feel so old because I'm the only person in the family that still doesn't use android or smart phone. I do have one but I have not open line it and use it as a regular camera instead.

Do you need to call anyone all the time? I think it’s more costly.

Not really @sol_cee But I noticed that my phone is really getting old and the battery is getting bulky.

@sol_cee yeah, still don't have funds even for that battery.

I think you need to have a new one. Cellphone this day is very costly when it comes to having it repair and ending is, you keep coming back to have it repaired again.

Maybe I should have my android set to online mode so my grandma can have one line instead. But that's just one of my options.

@Letranknight2015 Why not. So that you need to use two phones at the same time.

Unless it's a free repair, you might just want to buy a new one.

I doubt it's free repair because its just a small phone, might as well buy new one @MGjhaud

Hopefully, you can see about getting it fixed inexpensively. If not, get a new phone.

I think it's more logical to get a new phone instead, I am going to save for it.

Just buy a new one... if you still like a phone with a keypad, you can get one for P890, just like mine. Hihi You can also have it fixed but another remedy is use a headset so that you will hear the person on the other line.

Hello @brokenbee what brand is that? the one i bought for my grandma was probably not good quality half the price.Meh, maybe I'll just record the numbers and put it on a new one.

@Letranknight2015 it's Nokia. I really wanted to have another Nokia smartphone but I am still waiting for their best phone so I just bought their affordable phone with keypad as a replacement for my old Nokia phone which is easily drained. It's still working even if it's about 8 years old but its battery only lasts for more than a day while on standby mode...

I think you should purchase one landline phone to call somebody.

What's your basis on purchasing a landline when I already have one @debjani1

It is nice to use the android phone so you won't carry two gadgets when you want to use the camera or send messages. It is costly to have phone repairs now.

Another problem with this android phone was that I could only have one sim on this thing. Phones now a days could have you use two sim card.

@Letranknight2015 First try and fix it to see if that helps. Does it run on batteries? Maybe it needs new batteries? I learned the hard way when I kept getting new landlines that all it took was putting new batteries in and when finally saw that my phone worked again.

If you like making phone calls then I guess you need to consider buying a new one.
