Why do stand up comedians use so much swear words?

I've watched a fair amount of stand up comedians in India and abroad including Americans and usually cringe at the amount of sear words thrown in to these acts. I'm not sure if it's their lifestyle, audience expectations or just life in general. Have you watched stand up comedians swear a lot too?

They are popular and so people like the swearing. I, for one, do not like it and so watch very little. I went once to a live show and after 10 minutes I could no longer stand it and left.

Yes it is rude and crude and lewd!!! U can be funny without all that swearing!!!

I enjoy to watch comedy shows doesn't matter whether they use swear words or not. I think it's automatic.

That's difficult to do as so many people still in a swear word here and there. I find it difficult to completely avoid them

Yes they do.Not sure why.do they think it is part of the language.As many young adults do this.I do not liked ti. But a different generation

I've seen it maybe that's how they entertain someone with their comedic art. I once tried standup comedy at school, but no one laughed, maybe they didn't understand what I was saying. I think funny is very difficult when planned but it will feel easy when doing it spontaneously.
