Hi MyLot! I'm writing this a little bit early this time, however I expect tomorrow to be a really busy day, so I thought I would write now. I'm not too tired, just yet. So for those of you new to this style of writing from me - I tend to keep a journal with a few goals on it during the month. At the end of the month I write about how well I stuck to my goals and any big events that happened during the month. It really does help me to stick to my goals if I can remember that I get to tell all you fine folks about them. First off the eventful things - The biggest of which was the fantastic news about my mom. For about 6 weeks my mom's oncologist had been telling us that she was fairly sure my mom had a recurrence of cancer. There was much prayer. They ran my mom through a lot of tests and images, and finally the oncologist said - that it isn't cancer. Now there is another issue at play that will require a large surgery to fix. However - it isn't cancer. Praise God I know that it was His healing hand in this. Also in October I had 3 dance performances, 1 band audition, lots of hanging out with friends and meeting new ones, too. Now for goals - Goal: 2 New Recipes Oct.: 6 new recipes 2 of the recipes didn't turn out so great. The rest were worth making again and included enchiladas variations, dill dip, Veggie pizza, Parmesan garlic cauliflower "Steak" Goal: 12 days of exercise (10,000 or more steps, or 1/2 hour exercise in the day) Oct.: 6 days of exercise goal met Well, not great... but better than I thought I would do on account of all the stress. Goal: 8 books Oct. 8 books Before you get all impressed with me, most of these are audio books that I listen to while I work. I tried a couple of Mary Higgins-Clark - but some reason those didn't grab me. Might have been the narration in them. I did find a winner in author Judith Orloff and her book "Positive Energy", and "Sun Dog" by Stephen King was captivating and held my interest. As for other projects - I did mangage to re-string an old necklace and get out my coats and winter clothes. Here's to a great November for all of us Photo: Pixabay

Why is it that those cauliflower jokers have to call it steak or bread or popcorn or something equally stupid? It's cauliflower, quit pretending it isn't...

That was a really good month. The no cancer news was the best but then there were all the auditions. And the cauliflower "steak." How are you gonna top that in November?

So true, words cannot express how happy I was when finally, we got the news that the issue isn't cancer. There's not much that can top that, but we will try

Thanks! We are still so happy and thankful here Thanks for taking an interest. I bought the necklace pre-made , and one of the strings broke, so I just fixed it. I'm wearing it in this photo (dance) photo. Not the colorful necklace, the lowest of the 3 necklaces was the part I fixed. :-)
