Life is not always smooth. There are many bumps and disasters. Bad things happen to the bad and the good. No one is immune. It may lead us to wonder if God cares for us. Do you think that God cares about us? What proof would you give to show that God cares about us? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These are a few thoughts that came to my mind that show that God cares for us: * We are wonderfully designed to enjoy life * The earth could be such beautiful home * God gave us the Bible to guide and comfort us * He gave us a wonderful hope, life everlasting in a paradise

Donald Trump, fracking, extreme poverty, growing right wing extremism, evidence to the contrary sadly

The right thinks the left is extremist and the left thinks the right is extremist. That is not God but man doing all the double talk.

Hello Felix! I've always believed that God cares for me why? Each time I wake up in the morning alive and healthy to care for my family is proof enough that he cares to protect me. Each weekend that I drive to my hometown unscathed, away from accidents is clear enough that he cares for me to get there safely. The comfortable life that I am enjoying without having to go hungry and being able to buy what I want, is such a blessing. God cares and He will always do because I know He loves me even if I am a sinner.

Toni, it's so nice to see you back! That's a nice testimonial and thanks for sharing your thoughts, feelings and experiences with us. For God to be real and know He cares we need to have some personal experience with Him and it looks like you have plenty.

@m_audrey6788 Yes, we can be thankful if we have enough food every day. Sadly, there are some that are not so fortunate. We can encourage such people with the good news that one day God will set up a kingdom where everyone will have more than enough.

@1hopefulman I can only answer for myself and not others. My G-d cares about me. He tests me in many ways and when i really need his help He shares that He is there. I remember during the Holocaust there were Jews that turned against G-d because they wondered how could He let this happen to them. It was not Him that did it but evil people followed Hitler because he knew how to charm people into thinking he was the right one to follow.

@Hannihar Of course evil men did that. But either (1) G-d is all-powerful, i.e. fully in control, and allowed it, or decided not to stop it; or (2) He is not all-powerful.

Yes, if He did not care for us we would have no hope for better things as mankind in general cares very little to love one another and work together for the greater good of all of us.

I love all your examples. The very first one on my list would be that He gave His only son Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for our sins. I wouldn't last long in this world without God.

Yes, the fact that he gave "his only begotten Son" as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin shows the unmatchable extent of his love and care for each one of us.

God's hand is always clasping our hand in his. God cares for us like a father cares for their children.
I will begin this question about whether God cares for us from another perspective. I know that, deeply down, I care. Sometimes, I do not know the best way to care, or if what I am trying to do is really caring, or perhaps it is more me aggrandizing as myself, wanting a pat on the back from others for my caring, but deep down, I do feel that fundamentally, I do care. Maybe, God is the same as us. Maybe God also tries to care as best he can, sending his son, to die for us was certainly caring for us, in a deep way, I guess. God, does God really care for us then, or not? I like to imagine in my own mind how God would answer this question himself. This is God's answer to me. "God, that's me, cares for myself, and for my creation through love, and more than that through active love, which is being given to you as my gift to unwrap it in yourselves, so that on really receiving it, you can gift it back to others with a little bit of yourself added to it then too." "Gifting yourself to others in this way is caring. That's how I care. Go, and do likewise my friend Stephen, my loved one." I believe that this is really God's answer to me. God cares. Lovely image to reflect your response and the topic of the discussion. A newborn baby clasps its hands around ours and that is the most natural of reactions representing trust and bonding reflecting our creator and creation. The need to care is inborn in us and shows we are one and the same. Though we have separate bodies, the differences that we highlight are borne out of ego and selfishness. The real bonding can be only through love, compassion and caring. We need to break free from the baggage of the past that are weighing us down. Then we will realize we too can add on to the everlasting love and compassion of God - siva

I’m spiritual but not religious. I don’t believe in religion. We all live in spiritual love. None are turned away and we don’t need a book to tell us. We hold it in our hearts now and forever.

Yes, we can think and reason about God, we can pray to God and when we experience God's care in our own lives, that is the most convincing proof of all. Once that happens, we need no further proof.

Yes, all setbacks are temporary and even when we die, I view that as a setback that will eventually be undone when we come back to life if it is God's will. In this life, if we don't close the connection then we will always experience God's care and love in good and bad times.
