How long is your attention span?

My longest attention span is 3minutes. I have to distract myself from time time in order to finish my task. So, I multi-task.
Whenever someone speaks and the subject is not interesting at all, my thoughts drift somewhere else.
Do you have the same problem? Or is it easy for you to focus? Do you have a long attention span?

It depends, if there is something that is interesting, then my attention span is pretty long, I am able to focus. However, give me something boring and my mind wanders all over the place.

@Janet357 That is usually your preference for the kind of writing or the author. For example, C. S. Lewis Screwtape letters, I have heard quite a few people talk about how good it is, but I could never get into it. However, I have read all 7 of his Narnia series and love it.
I prefer novels, however I have read some excellent poems.

:)))))) it happens to me when i pick some books you know, the first paragraph is very crucial. When it sounds so boring, i pick another book.
Also with blogs, blogs are considered and expected to be long, thats why i dont read much of them.
Do you read poems?

I don´t mind not having a long attention span. I find it is an asset to be able to turn into another job to keep motivated.

@Janet357 It has been a nice day. And tomorrow will be nice too, even though I will have to work in the morning.

If I am working on something and want to get it right then I work on it till it is done or the way I want it to. Sometimes I do not have a long tension span. If I am reading a book and it is boring I may put it down and pick it up again or put it away and find another I like to read.

I think that I can control my attention span when I have to. I might not be interested in a subject but can still politely listen or discuss it. Sometimes, I might start off not having much interest but then the interest can spark and get a pleasant surprise. Has that ever happened to you?

It depends of course. When I am on it and concentrating then my memory span is sharp.

Well, if the topic wasn't relating to me then I won't be listening that much.
