Enough Rain Already!

I took a walk down to the river to see if the road was flooding by the bridge (this has happened before). The photo I took here is from the bridge facing north. It wasn't as high as I'd feared. The Tantramar River at this point is a little more than a creek. It's about four feet higher than it usually is but staying nicely within its floodplain. I doubt it will rise much more.
The rain is supposed to clear out tomorrow. I can hardly wait. This kind of weather is no fun to drive to work in and it also creates havoc with our Internet connection. I'm not even sure this will post. Crossing my fingers.

Yes, it howled. Bowled a tree over on our road and knocked us off-grid for the last four days.

@koopharper we were fortunate to live in 'God's Country'. Minimal interruption to our lives....a couple of flickers...just enough to make all the clocks flash.....oh well. I was resetting them all on Sunday morning already!

Been off the grid for the past four days because after the rain came some violent wind and then some more rain. The sun finally came out today.

@LadyDuck Sounds like you're safe and dry. We were fortunate in that we are fairly well equipped to handle a power outage lasting that long.

For this time of year, it hasn't actually been all that cold here yet. Translating from Canadian English, that means it isn't below freezing most of the time.

I have a brother-in-law living in California and he told us they haven't been getting rain at all this fall. He's in the LA area. Is it that bad in San Jose as well? I cycled through there in the early eighties and found your area to be a lot nicer than LA.

Dreary and wet is about the kindest thing that could be said about it. The weather is also messing with the Internet connection. Can't do much outside or inside.

We do get quite a lot of rain in this area normally. This has been a little beyond normal though. The fall here has been very wet.
