Goons of a Neighbour!

Hey guys I just experienced a really traumatic experience today. But let me start the story by talking about my landlord. My landlord is matured expat who likes dating girls who are too young for him. To make it worst he dates girls that are only after his money. So one of the girls he dated and is now his ex was a little too friendly with goons. Today while I was in my room I heard men knocking and shouting on the door calling out his name. Since the premise was aggressive, I was scared to open it and so I texted him cause I know he was also in the house. He didn’t want to open it neither. And since I had a review class I had to be the brave one to open it and confront them or even tell them I’d call the police. When I opened my bedroom door I closed it with a bang so they at least get the vibe that I’m mad at what they were doing. Now when I opened the door I saw them running and I noticed they’ve locked us in. I yelled and cussed at them but I couldn’t do anything as I was locked in. Later on my landlord called the house owner to open us up. Apparently they tied a metal chain on the iron latch outside the door. I’m relieved now but I don’t know if my landlord is reporting to the police as what I suggested. Apparently he’s been harassed like this several times already. I’m seriously thinking of moving out but I’m financially tight and I don’t want my parents to worry.

They came back apparently. I have put pressure on the landlord to report them to the police. I’m afraid if they get desperate they might resort to harming people.

@1hopefulman I had the impression that I was living in the slums when I first saw the place but people were helpful and even too friendly. Now I’m scared of my neighbours. I feel like I’m in a place I’m not supposed to be in.

I had my house broken into while I was sleeping in Australia. But I find this scarier. Just because the perpetrators knew someone was inside and still decided to wreck havoc.

Thank you Judy. I’m contemplating of giving them revenge. I’ll really pressure the landlord to press charges.

No. I will never stay in Pasil. I’ve heard lots of horror stories about that place. Near the Capitol. It’s Echavez compound but on my GPS it says Camputhaw. When my mum learned where I was staying she said be careful.

@sunrisefan The first time I arrived I had an impression that I was in a slum area. But since I’ve already paid and y housemate/landlord was a foreigner I thought maybe it’s not so bad. Otherwise why would he be here. Anyhow those guys yesterday did seem to be under influence. Who in their right minds would do that?

@flapiz You better look for another boarding house. Perhaps you can ask around from fellow Boholanos. "Kababayans" in a foreign land always help out each other.

I actually am not loaded as I’m jobless at the moment since I got back from Australia and my savings are running dry.

They came twice yesterday. I hope today they’ve sobered up. I really think they were under influence yesterday.

I will put pressure on my land lord to do so. The perpetrators came back when I was away. He really should not tolerate such abuse. He’s giving them more courage by doing so.
