My online order gone wrong

Usually my online orders are smooth and I almost never had problems with deliveries. That is because I only pay money to reputable shops, even if it costs a little more than from other, less known, shops. But there are no guarantees that everything will be smooth, even when you order from reputable shops. My machine storage has been shrinking for the past months and it reached it's lowest storage capacity now. So I ordered an external ssd to expand storage and to improve the performance of my old laptop. On the website of one of the biggest electronics shops in Belgium I found and ordered one for a decent price. Then I got an email saying they will deliver my item in 3 business days max. Well, they didn't! I gave them a call and they said they didn't have it in stock, although their website says otherwise. But they didn't even bother to contact me and tell me about this delay. I could've ordered it from another shop instead. The process of getting money back would take about the same time as the delivery of the new ssd so I decided to wait. The estimated delivery date is next Monday. That's a big disappointment for me. I'm sure some of you have similar stories to share?

If that happened to me, I would sit it out and wait till Monday, guess it's one situation where we have no choice, I would wait till I get the item and give them a most befitting feedback to warn others not to commit the same mistake I made and to teach the company a lesson.

That would be disappointing. I had that happen when I used a different site then the usual one as well. I should have checked the reviews first and I wouldn't have bothered with them. Make sure to write a review so others will know what kind of experience you had with them!

I totally forgot to write a review. I will do it tonight. I buy from them offline sometimes and never had issues before. This is the first time and it's definitely going to reflect in the rating.

We paid after we are delivered, be get the invoice and we pay. In this case I would have canceled the order.

@Madshadi I hope you have this option in your country. Here we can chose to pay after delivery upon reception of the invoice.

That’s one of the reasons why I don’t like shopping online. My last experience was kind of terrible. Ordered some clothing from an online shop and when they arrived, the clothes look entirely different from the photos they have posted on their website. Plus, they are of low-quality .

Oh yes, online shopping can be fun... not No wonder big sites like Amazon have 100% satisfaction guaranteed. We tend to shop things offline when we need them on short notice. Saves most of the hassle.
