Conversations and discussions at this site and in many places online and offline are generally lively, funny, sometimes heated, sometimes intense ending with people agreeing to disagree, etc.. In short, social sites like MyLot are terrific for interaction and intelligent exchange! That being said, have you have ever had any experience with AI (artificial intelligence) when for example, you call Customer Service and you get a robot? You think it's a robot. You sort of sense when you're not talking to a human and you're getting “canned responses”, so you keep pushing buttons until hopefully you end up talking to a human. Canned or ready-made responses or rather “standard answers” are NOT just answers produced by an AI mechanism. Humans, like me (and maybe you too), love to use a one-size fits all answer and throw them out to bring the discussion to an end. Particularly when you don't know the answer to the question or you can't think of anything else to say to your support your position OR your opinions will not be changed regardless of the facts! It's all in good humor. Nobody engages in a discussion at these sites with the intentions of starting a war or creating enemies! As much as you'd like to carry on a lively interesting conversation until the 12th of the month of Never-Worry, there are other priorities in your life that need to be addressed, so you've got to end the discussion. But most people don't like to leave a discussion “hanging”. I have at least 3 standard answers (canned or ready-made responses) to questions or discussions when I draw a blank or need to close out a discussion and move on. (1) (Breathe a huge sigh of exasperation and say ...) I don't know! I blame global warming! (2) (Refuse to budge and state in a commanding tone of voice ...) Whatever! Nobody stopped Sargon! { NOTE: For info about Sargon check out this YouTube video } (3) (Throw the ball into the court of your opponent, make them accept the full weight of the responsibility for resolving the matter by saying ...) Don't ask me. I'm just a pilgrim passing through. Do you have standard or ready-made answers you like to throw out to bring a lively conversation or discussion to a close?

Here in the south, it's "Well, how 'bout that." Or, "You just never can tell." Great post.
