Should I Get Back Into Bracelet Making?

I used to make a lot of bracelets. Mostly of the friendship and paracord variety. It was a lot of fun at the time, but life happened and I just haven't made any in a long time. I just wondered if I should get back into making them....and if it would be worth it. If I could sell some, I think it would definitely be worth it but I need to find a good marketplace for that. I tried Etsy, but didn't do so well trying to sell my paracord bracelets there. If you know of a good place to try and sell them I would love to know! In the photo is some of the "friendship" style bracelets I used to make.

I remember making brackets like that even tho I wasn't that good and don't have the patience for it lol. But I would do it again and if you could make a few bucks off it then awesome.

I'm sure they were great :) They do take lots of patience though, that's for sure! Yes, being able to make some money doing it would be nice!

Those are really cute, I love all the bright colors and patterns you have. If it was something you enjoyed doing then you should make more.

I think if it's something you enjoy, you should get back into it. You can always make them as gifts as you see if there is a market for them online. Maybe eBay, or locally though Facebook, but at least eBay can play the "middle man" if there's a problem.

I did enjoy it, just having a hard time finding the time to do it these days! I have given them as gifts quite a bit, so could still do that. I could try the Facebook Marketplace...and eBay - Haven't tried those yet.

@tammys85 I don't think you do on Facebook, but I don't know about eBay. I know you do on Etsy, so that's why I don't know about going back there. Thank you very much though!

@tammys85 If I would have sold something I wouldn't mind paying the little bit to sell on there...but I didn't sell a thing lol

I used to make those bracelets back in high school! I even found a website with patterns for them and sold them to my classmates. The best marketplace I know for that kind of craft is Etsy, or maybe Tictail? Idk if bigcartel sells this kind of stuff. Facebook pages and local markets are good places to start as well.

Thank you for your input! I found a website and got a lot of my designs on there too. That's great that you sold them to your classmates. I used to sell mine on Myspace lol! I didn't do great on Etsy, but could be worth another try. I haven't heard of those other places. I'll have to give Facebook marketplace a try though!

Wow, those are nice. I used to wear those kind of bracelets when I was in high school. It was the craze then. Maybe you should try selling them first to your friends. If it gets a good result , you can try to sell it online.

I don't really have any friends to sell to, lol...but thank you. Yes, it was the craze in my high school days too. Maybe I am just too late on the friendship bracelet scene lol!
