Okay, Spangles

Okay, so I have definitely been looking forward to getting my McRib fix in. BUT, tonight I am in Wichita, KS for business, and there is not a Spangles where I will be tomorrow which is Kansas City. They have a pretty good mushroom and swiss burger and so I will probably have that. Tomorrow I can stop at a McDonald's in Kansas City and get my McRib. Both are bad ideas considering my salt restriction, but I just struggle to find anything on the go that helps me with keeping my salt down. It is what it is.

If you're eating fast food, you won't keep your salt down. Enjoy your McRib.

@porwest I'm sure you are. It can't be good for your blood pressure.

@just4him It's not, and my recent visit to the cardiologist seemed to confirm it. He asked me right away, "Are you following your salt restriction?"

I had not either until I started running around in Wichita. If you have ever been to a Culver's, it reminds me a lot of that place.

If there is a Spangle here in my country, I will definitely try to have a food adventure here.

Unfortunately I don't think you will find one in the Philippines. But if you are ever in the U.S., specifically around Wichita, KS.

@porwest That's what I've thought.lol If I will able to visit your place, I will push myself to try it. Is it available in LA? Most of my relatives are living here.

Oh, a fellow McRib lover, huh? I usually try to avoid McDonalds, but those McRibs are wonderful. And I don't want to know what they're made of.

Just drink lots of water to flush that sodium out.

@cindiowens Oh man, I thought I was the only one dipping my fries in horsey sauce. Good to not be alone.

Tell me about it. Worse, Spangles was closed and so I went to Arby's instead. No better on the salt.

Spangles..looks like a cool place Jim. It is very hard to avoid salt and honestly we all need a little bit of salt.

@Courage7 The world makes it hard. Just like last night. I baked a ham. I sooo love ham. But it is LOADED with salt. Ugh. But it tastes so good. Why does everything that tastes good have to be so bad?
