Lunch with a sense of humor

Eugene, Oregon
November 8, 2018 7:26pm CST
Anne had a 1:30 meeting today, so while she got ready, I prepared lunch. Besides a little salad, she likes maybe a slice of ham, a dill pickle, some tomato and maybe a slice of good bread. I got the salad done, made my ham sandwich and had the impulse to "enhance" her plate with a little humor. I stuck the sliced dill out of each end of the ham, placed the tomato slice as you see, used some capers for eyes and basil blossoms under that. I put the plate on the table so she would see it facing her when she sat down, then put the salad bowl on the table. Needless to say she enjoys it. I often experiment with "presentation" things like this just for fun. Needless to say, she enjoys it.

Very creative James! I haven't done anything like that with my girlfriend, but when my kids were little I used to do things like that to get them to eat foods they didn't care too much for. It helped when they could make eating "yucky" foods seem like fun!
