Travels on the Emerald Isle

Hi all, I am in Dublin, Ireland presently with some friends on a short getaway. This was planned months ago so I felt that I needed to do it even if my heart wasn’t quite in itt. It has done me a world of good. I am feeling more like my old self. We did a full day out yesterday and visited Newgrange, Hill of Tara, Battle of the Boyne and Trim Castle. I am missing my family however and I’m looking forward to getting home on Sunday.

I am happy you are having a change of pace. We loved Dublin. Have yourself a pint or ha' pint of Guinness and you will feel better. Grieving is a long process, and I'm certain your dear mother is watching from Heaven and glad you are enjoying yourself. We've been grieving ourselves, so I haven't even made reservations for Florida, yet.

I'm so happy to hear that you're on the trip, and that you feel your old self. You were a wonderful daughter, and you grieved your grief, and your Mom would be proud. Now your family has their Mom (wife, Gramma) back again like they remember-just as soon as you return from your trip that is. Enjoy all that there is to see in Ireland. My Dad's family hails from Tipperary.

I'm pleased that the break has done you good Isabelle.. You're coming home on Sunday and we are starting a cruise on that day. My husband's health isn't too bad so we thought we'd go for it.
