I hope they DON'T call me back, and other things about my day so far

Last night, on a whim, I went on facebook and looked at the jobs available in my area. There is one about 10 minutes down the road from me. It is as a banquet server or a similar type serving experience. I applied because I do have experience, and I honestly hope they do not call me back. I know that might seem silly, why apply if I don't want a call back? Well, for one, banquet serving wasn't my favorite job though it did pay well. Secondly, just thinking about trying to find outside work again fills me with both anxiety and exhiliration. I'll talk more about that some other time. It's raining here, and so I didn't even attempt a walk today. I doubt I'll get in a walk at all today but perhaps tomorrow will be better. I have an ear ache. I've put drops in my ear for it and I hope that the ache stops soon. I'll be on and off of here today as I work on other things.

I hope you find what you are looking for and that the pain stops in your ear, that's the worst pain besides toothache.

I've had panic attacks because of toothache pain.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I'm sorry to hear that but I know what you mean, I have very bad teeth and they hurt a lot.

@hillhjill Luckily it has been many many years for me. I had to go to the hospital because my heart started hurting and I couldn't breathe. I wasn't even aware I was having a panic attack.

It's feeling better now. I get times where my right ear is pretty sensitive to cold.

What about librarian? That would probably be a very good fit for you.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I don't know that it is essential. Not for an assistant anyway..Maybe you could volunteer, a few hours a week, and say you would be very interested in any paid positions that come up.

I think you would have to have a degree. I could possibly be a library page but I believe they usually hire the younger generations in my county.

You did well to go to the interview. It shows you are ready for more than before and so you can take confidence from that.

I had to scroll back up to make sure I didn't say interview. I didn't go to an interview, I just applied to the job.

If they call, thank them and politely decline the offer of an interview. Hope your ear ache goes away.

I don't know that I really have the option to do that. Okay, yeah, I mean I can, but I also need the money and so unless I find something else, I may have to take the banquet thing. I'm not so sure they'll call me though. I did mention that I had banquet experience and where but I didn't list it as a past job. The form they have on facebook as a "application" was somewhat weird.

@ScribbledAdNauseum That is weird they have it on FB that way. I hope something comes your way that you will like.

Take it easy Amber. Hope that ear thing goes away soon. I can also relate to the applying and then dreading and then wishing like a cycle lol

I don't do well with crowds and having to work. I need a lot of "me" time throughout the day but there's not really anything I can do about it. I just have to take what I can get and deal with it however I can.

Ugh. Ear aches are right up there with migraines.

I've had both, not at hte same time thankfully. I've only ever had two migraines in my life, but they were horrible experiences each time.

I dont know how I missed this discussion yesterday. There are a ton of places hiring in town, yet I hear all the time that people cant find work. It pisses me off. I applied at the adult care home in town, that provides care for the mentally handicapped adults. I dont know if Ill end up doing it. Cause I could only do it two days a week. And I dont know if theyll be okay with that.

The weather is miserable today! The dog still needs to be walked, though, do I'll get at least a bit of exercise.

It was drizzling around 4 pm when I went for dinner, but it stopped soon thereafter. My part of the county, we tend to miss a lot of the really cruddy stuff. I don't think it's supposed to rain tomorrow, so I'll just have to walk three times tomorrow, instead of the two.
