I Heart Female Violinists : My Fave Five Plus One More

Last December (in 2017) I shared a list of my fave five female violinists (mylot.com/post/3140479/i-heart-female-violinists-my-fave-five). I know it's only November but I'm was hunting down Christmas music to listen to and in the process, I accidentally discovered another female violinist. Would you believe it? It's great to find music treasure when you're not looking for it. She is a classical musician but her admirers describe her as a “rock star”. I love stories about the triumph of the human spirit. It seems she's been a musician since the age of 3. Evidently she had a terrible accident and wondered if she would ever play again. But she recovered and she is still playing. I never used to like violins or cellos, but I find that these days I can listen to them quite happily

As much as I love Sherlock Holmes, one might think he persuaded me to love violin music but it was really my husband. He opened a whole new world of music for me. He likes to listen to all kinds of music.

I have read that she was born in the US from Italian and Korean heritage and she hurt her hand in Florence. It happened several years ago.
