Bad news from a dear friend

My best friend from middle school and who is still a very close friend today just messaged me and told me she just found out she had a Brain anerusym. I am in shock. You never know what lies ahead. She wants me to let her other friends know because she is having a hard time talking about it.

Sorry to hear this about your friend. I hope something can be done for her. My son's teacher apparently had surgery for a brain aneurysm a couple years ago. He was out for most of the school year, but he did come back - still teaching.

Will they be able to treat it? Some parts of the brain I think they can put a shunt (or stent?) in to reinforce the walls of the vessels so the aneurysm does not burst.

That's a very scary situation. My baby sis had one and they did surgery on it. That was in 2009. She is doing well. Good luck to your friend
