Greetings from cold, snowy Denver, Colorado, where it's only a matter of time before THIS happens.
I'm talking snow. Lots of snow. Just check out the photo that I took just seconds ago. That is Interstate 70. On the other side of the freeway, you can see the results of a multi-car accident, complete with firetruck, tow trucks, ambulances, and cops. It must be pretty bad, because usually, at this point, we are on accident alert, meaning that unless there are injuries or alcohol involved, you exchange information and either go about your merry way or wait for the tow truck.
Right before I took this, on this side of the Interstate, a lady spun out into ditch, and a few firemen pushed her out.
Welcome to winter. We are now officially on the scoresheet!

It seems so early to me for winter. Down here in Georgia we're just now getting a bit of cold. Great picture.

I was stationed in Georgia for a few months, but it was summer and really hot. Never got to experience winter there.

@teamfreak16 yes I'm from the East Coast but I would think that being in Colorado your winters are worse than ours. Don't you get lots of snow there?

OMG, that is one of the things I will not miss about CO, I hated having to go out in the snow. I used to work up in the casinos and had to drive from Golden up there all the time. My daughter went home to visit for the weekend and is bummed because it snowed and ruined her plans lol. I know right where this picture was taken

Unfortunately, you can't tell how hard it was snowing from the picture. Did you work in Blackhawk or Central City? Back way, or I-70? We went the back way once, through Eldora and the roads sucked. The I-70 route is much easier.

@teamfreak16 I worked in Central City, started at Harveys, then it became Harrahs, then Fortune Valley and now I believe it is Johnny Z's and I used to go the canyon on Hwy 6 until they put in the Central City Parkway off of I-70. That was much easier unless it was really snowing and iced up.

@dgobucks226 - It usually seems to. But as a Raider fan, I root for the Broncos to lose every game. Unless I need them to win so that the Raiders can make the playoffs. Needless to say, that scenario hasn't presented itself in a long time.

I stayed in Longmont near Rocky Mountains. I enjoyed the view of Rocky Mountains from my apartment. It was breathtaking. I loved my stay in winters of Colorado. It was in year 2003_2005

@leny34 - A little less slippery. The sand gives you a little bit of traction. The key is to slow down and give yourself time to react, which a lot of people just don't seem to understand.

@teamfreak16 Yes, I am. I live on the island of Montreal. We do get cold and snowy winters. Our winters are like that. It doesn't mean that I like it though.

You're in Quebec? Aren't your winters pretty cold and snowy for the most part? Whenever I watch a hockey game in Montreal, there always seems to be snow on the ground when they show the arena on TV.

It depends. We usually get at least a couple of bad storms each winter, with temperatures close to 0 sometimes. But we also have a lot of really nice days, too.

@Hannihar - I don't know if I could handle winter in Minnesota. We get bad storms and arctic cold fronts here, but we do get a lot of really nice days, too.

While growing up in MInneapolis all I could think of I want winter to end but it seemed like ti would go one forever. Here in Jerusalem we are still having pretty nice weather and it is November. It usually gets cold around December for sure in January, February and March. We have had some rain already too.
