How I spent my weekend 11/9/18 - 11/11/18

My allergies have been driving me nuts constantly having post nasal drip so Friday I dusted all of the downstairs rooms and cleaned the bird cage. My daughter went to her friends house after school until 9:30. My boyfriend and his son spent the night. My bf and I watched the 4th episode of “The haunting of Hill House”. It wasn’t as good as episode 3. Saturday my dad used his air compressor and aired my tires up for me. I took my daughter and her friend shopping. We checked out a new thrift store, went to dollar tree where I bought the items in the photo, went to a record/video game/comic book store and got groceries at Aldi’s and Walmart. Wendy’s had $1 any size fries so we went there so my daughter could try dipping them in cheese. I used to go there often when I was dating her father and that is what I would eat. My daughter went to her friends house after. My boyfriend had gotten up at 6 to go hunting so then I couldn’t sleep after that. I never sleep well when he stays here so I was so tired I fell asleep on the couch at 9:30. My daughter came home at 10 took a shower and we all went to bed at 11. Sunday I spent pretty much the entire day cleaning. I did two loads of dishes where I dropped one plate and broke it. I did 4 loads of laundry among other chores. For dinner I made Bubbly Chese Garlic bread which was kind of odd with the Italian dressing the recipe called for.

Sounds like you need to catch up on some sleep, especially after your busy weekend. I wear eye shadow, too, and love playing with all colors.

@DianneN It takes forever to earn $1 here I don’t even pay attention to what the earnings say eventually I reach payout. I had to run to town today and so I tried the eyeshadow out. Doesn’t go on as heavy as I like but really wasn’t to bad for only $1. The case was so hard to open though I had to use a knife to pry it open. I attached a photo of how it looks.

@DianneN eye shadow seems to last forever so it's been awhile since I last bought any. The colors on my big pallette it running out so when I spotted this at the Dollar tree with the three similar colors I grabbed it. Not sure how well it will work for $1 but worth a try. I can always crush it and mix it with water to apply it if it doesn't go in very well.. or throw it in the garbage lol

@shaggin . I hope you don't have to throw it in the garbage. Just think how long it takes to earn $1 here,

I love Wendys fries, and that they're only a buck right now. I cant sleep to begin with, but when the boyfriend is here.. yeah no chance.

@Courtlynn Yes those fries are good and dipping them in cheese is heavenly. $1 for any size is such a great deal but then my daughters friend got a meal and it was like $10 so dinner was more costly then I would have liked. Anytime my daughter and I go out we take our own bottles of water so that saves us money on the drinks. My daughter goes to her friends house every week and eats dinner there and when they go out with her parents they go to a sit down Resturant like Olive Garden which is a lot more expensive then fast food so I feel it's only fair to let the girl get what she wants to eat when she is with me.

@shaggin mom and I always have drinks in the car, for when we're eating while travelling - even just going from the place to home since we don't always wait to eat lol. but we will sometimes get drinks. but we use coupons all the time so never cost a lot for us to eat at wendys. (Do you have the wendys app on your phone to use their coupons?) That is a good way to be. And I would be the same.

You had some good days in a whole. I like the color of the eye-shadow, more or less the same colors I use.

@LadyDuck sometimes I get bored and try different colors but these are the ones that I use the most and look more natural.

Even though the garlic bread was odd was it at least good? We spent the weekend in Ohio at a conference. It was much needed. My husband and I are making some changes in our lifestyle I hope. I've been off since last Monday and may be off until Feb depending on how quick the wound heals I've been able to elevate my feet a lot and it does look smaller but will find out whether that is so tomorrow at my appt. I'm trying to do things differently but still needed to work at cleaning more and organizing. That may have to wait until hubby is working when I can turn up the music to keep me moving

The garlic bread was okay but not something I would make again. Now I have to thing of something to use the rest of the creamy Italian dressing on. I’m thinking an antipasta salad maybe. I attached a photo of it. A conference doesn’t sound like a very fun trip. What kind of lifestyle changes are you planning? I hope your wound heals quickly being off work until possibly February is a long time

@shaggin I've been ready for a long vacation. All the time I took off this year was mainly to elevate my feet.

Your life is a lot more interesting than mine. People don't come and go from my house like yours... My kids live a fair way away from home so they show up for holidays and special days. I love visiting the thrifts store and always look for beads there. I had a specialist test me for allergies, one of my doctor suggested to find out exactly what I'm allergic too and it was interesting to find the only thing I am allergic to is grass....

@PainsOnSlate I was tested for allergies when I was a baby. I am allergic to grass and dust but I don't recall what else. Usually those things don't bother me but a year or two ago I went to the doctor thinking I had a bad sinus infection that was turning to bronchitis and found out it was an allergy to pollen.

@shaggin When I was a kid I had a lot of allergies but I grew out of them as I aged. I think I was in my 50's\60's when I was tested and found only grass...I can't mow the grass but it doesn't bother me to walk on it or even sit on it. I remember being miserable as a child/teen because of pollen.

@PainsOnSlate a lot of times if we have allergies as kids they go away as an adult and if not many as a kid we seem to get them more as an adult. So strange.

Sorry your allergies are bothering you hope it clears up for you soon. Sounds like you got some good deals while out shopping. Lately we have not been sleeping well because the pain from my boyfriends knee surgery is worse at night even with the pain pills he was given. I hope soon that will all be over.

@Tina30219 the allergies have been much better after all he cleaning. Once the furnace is cleaned that will help more I think. The filters need to be changed once a year and it's around that time. I remember reading that people with knee surgery were in more pain at night. Sorry to hear that it is causing you both trouble sleeping
