I just read that comic book legend Stan Lee has passed away at the age of 95. That's a good long life. I don't know the details of his death beyond that it happened today after he was rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center earlier this morning. I got to see him speak once at the San Diego Comic-Con years ago (2006? 2007?) and am glad I got that opportunity. He's leaving behind quite a legacy in the comics industry, not to mention all the movies and TV shows that spun off from his creations. Rest well, Uncle Stan. You've earned it. And remember -- Excelsior!

Yes, he did. He'll be missed, but 95 is a good age to go. His wife passed away last summer.

Yeah, it's been busy here (as usual). I've really wanted to be active every day, but it's been difficult.

I was sad to hear of his passing, although not all too surprised considering his age. He will surely be missed. An icon for sure.

I guess he hadn't been doing well for a while, but he still showed up in all of the movies. I saw one of the Marvel TV shows on Netflix recently (Luke Cage, I think) where his cameo was his face on a billboard.

@porwest Hitchcock did something similar, didn't he? I know he made a cameo in all of his movies, but I think occasionally he was on a banner on the side of a bus or similar.

@spiderdust I always liked that he did the cameos. In some way or another I think his cameos may wind up (in different form of course) in many future movies.
