Did God forget about us?

If we see what is happening in this world it seems that God forgot about us. There a lot of tragedies. Or are we too small and God has something more important to do? God allows evil in this world.Maybe we have no value and we are not as important as we think.
This question is for believers. Good people or children have cancer and they die when they are very young. And evil people survive and they harm this planet. Did God forget about us? He does not intervene in our lives. And if he doesn't care why so many people pray?

You have it backward. WE forgot God. He didn’t forget us. But we (especially in the US) have told Him point blank we do not want Him.

@dya80dya -- where does it say believers have a rose garden life because they believe? I always read the book of Job when I think it's "hard" for believers.

@FourWalls There are some places in the bible where we can see that believers are helped. God helps people in this life, according to the bible. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”This is an example. Why do people seek and they don't find anything?

It is not God that forgotten us but it is we that have forgotten him. Most problems we cause or worsen.
Se eat candy, candy and more candy and we expect to be healthy. If we think we have problems now, what will we think with what's coming.

We were born here to live but with all the mortal sufferings of the living world. Only here we get to decide if we choose good or evil in the end. But then agian, who wouldn't be stupid enough to be in hell anyway.

God cares very much for us. So much that He sacrificed his son to die for us.
