The Dog that Wouldn’t Go In

This is so funny I had to tell you about it. My younger sister has a big furry dog that she thinks the world of but the dog is difficult to handle. Younger sister called older sister last night telling her she couldn’t get the dog in the house. Older sister had her pajamas on and was ready for bed, but she got dressed and drove the two miles to help get the dog in the house.
The dog loves older sister to death. And this sister doesn’t even like dogs. Anyway, sister went driving up the road and the dog and younger sister were both on the porch. Older sister pulled in the yard and began talking to the dog in a loud voice, in an aside she told younger sister to open the door and go inside.
Older sister said she kept talking to the dog and started running to the door with the dog right behind her. Older sister and the dog raced into the house and younger sister slammed the door shut.
My sister called me today and we had a-good laugh. My phone didn’t cut out today so we were able to finish our conversation.

@RubyHawk - Those types of incidents are funny if they happen once. It it happens over and over again, it won't be so funny! LOL

That is hilarious. My cat Sid has become quite a character too. He comes and goes through the bathroom window. Today it was raining and he was hungrier than usual. So he would sit on the bathroom window ledge and meow loudly. I would shout at him to come on inside then he would come in just to eat and run out again and after a while the meowing would begin again

Glad older sister was able to help out younger sister! Hopefully it won't become a routine, or else older sister will have to go over there every night!

@RubyHawk aww, that’s so sad to hear Ruby. I really hope that poor dog wasn’t poisoned.

That is a tough one. If our big dog here would not come in, we certainly could not lift it, so would have to try something like your sister did.

Maybe older sister can tape herself talking to the dog and the dog would be confused enough to follow younger sister in when that happens again. Otherwise she may needed doggy headphones with a long cord to do the same thing, lol.

@RubyHawk that's unfortunate and sad to hear. Maybe something else was going on that no one knew about.

The older sister did what was right; for her to go inside the house and the dog will follow her because the dog likes her too much!
