MyLot Exclusive #70 It might be too much say that the comics died today with the passing of Stan Lee. Many other giants of the industry have already died but none of them were as out front and famous as Stan was. In addition to Hitchcockesque appearances in 17...Some sources say the number is 30...Marvel movies, he even appeared on The Big Bang Theory. But any way you slice it, it's a really sad day for comics. In addition to many other innovations, he started the Flawed Super Hero movement and, more importantly, he ended the unofficial color barrier in comics. And not just the comics. How many other people who started working in 1941 are still alive? An entire era is ending.

one of my all time heroes - more super than any of his own creations. To use his own favourite word, Excelsior!

@xander6464 yes, from his part in Mallrats to The Silver Surfer - he and Jack Kirby were the best

I heard about that. I don't follow comics myself, but I know he was a legend. Saw his "Big Bang Theory" appearance too. At least he got to do what he loved and his contributions won't stop inspiring people for generations to come. Sad.

Out of all the things he did, I liked his Big Bang appearance best.
