Why do people ask stupid question.

I encounter some people here who thinks gay and transgender is the same thing. So you haven't met the worst yet.

That's a good way to weed out who your friends are.

Some people are too nosy.

I would ask them why they think they can ask you that question. Why is it any of their business?

Hm, I think that is an error of people who don't know many gay people, maybe.

Why do you tag everyone of your posts with the word "gay"? I do not tag mine with "straight". Maybe that calls for some stupid questions.

There are still too many people who either don't know or won't accept that being gay is something you are and not something you choose to do. Perhaps the next time someone asks you that question you could reply, "Because it's better than going through life miserable and forlorn," and see if they even understand why that could be a correct answer to their question. Chances are they won't have a clue because if they had a clue they wouldn't have asked the question to begin with.

This is a stupid question, look at them and ask "why do you have brown eyes?", then wait for their reply.

You should do exactly as you said - ask them why they are straight/not gay.

Stupid is as stupid does. There are too many stupid people in this world. It's best to get them out of your life.

I often encounter stupid questions such as: Why are you not married?, Why didn't you have kids? Who will take care of you when you get old? Why are you still single and a lot more. Hey why are they so concerned with my life?

They say to me-There is no stupid question, but just a stupid answer.

I suggest some people don't understand a personal identity. I read a blog yesterday by a black American lady. She went couch surfing and the person that she stayed with hadn't ever seen a black person before. He acted in an amazing way to her however she felt he was a bit insulting. I met a German gay man when I was 20 to 21 years old in Australia. I felt respect and friendship towards him. Nobody should ask why you are gay.

I think some people still think it is a choice you can make but they really just don't get it. We are how we are no matter if that's gay, bi or straight.

That's really nice picture taken by you. About question, yes many people do that and even I don't know why they goes for such thing. For us its like we can't understand, and for them its like they can't just avoid. So normally I just ignore them if I face any odd question.
