What did you have for breakfast today?

Yesterday morning, I enjoyed a waffle with real butter and maple syrup for breakfast. It was quite yummy. Today I actually had leftover teriyaki steak and part of a California roll from yesterday's lunch. It was pretty yummy as well. Now, I'm on my second cup of coffee and almost ready to face the day. Did you have a good breakfast?

Are you pulling our legs with such a post? This should be beneath you. Later I'm going to delete my comment so that you won't earn from it.

@TheHorse The smoke from the fires must have obfuscated your little grey cells.

@MALUSE What's left of them. It actually is pretty incredible here. It's a clear day, but the sun is almost totally obscured by the smoke. A side note: one of my favorite bumper stickers ever read thus: "Eschew obfuscation."

I think it's to late. Buwaahaahaa! I am proud of my new toaster. I may finally have run out of things to talk about. I did hear on National Public Radio that many chickens survived the Paradise fire. My friend and I shared some dark laughter about the fact that the chickens on his property survived.

Your food is so different from ours. I could not think of anything sweet early in the morning.

Our "standard" breakfast is either cereal in milk (light and quick--easy for parents with kids) or eggs, bacon and toast. But some like sweet stuff like pancakes or waffles now and then.

@vandana7 so you never had wheat/corn flakes with milk/bread in breakfast. I did have that sometimes!

@MALUSE No, the Quark is almost liquid, cream cheese is "Philadelphia".

@TheHorse That is a good question. I don't want to eat more after that till lunch. Today I ate a banana when I thought I wanted to eat something and drank some milk.

Yummy. I have waffles very often. I add butter, peanut butter and maple syrup. I know, it is not healthy but delicious.

Sounds healthy to me. The peanut butter adds a bit of protein. I do like peanut butter, but not on waffles.

@TheHorse That is how I make it ok, the peanut butter is healthy. Growing up we would mix peanut butter and syrup and eat it with biscuits.

Sounds...American. I have one waffle left. Need to buy some more. Don't (usually) have time to make them from scratch.

I'm glad you are not one of those people who think there are certain allowable 'breakfast foods' and nothing else is acceptable. As far as I'm concerned anything tasty is good for breakfast!
