A little bothered

Last Friday was my birthday and I had a great day, went out with friends and have a good time. I went to sleep feeling really good and really happy. But, when I woke up on Saturday I wasn't feeling too good. I was not sad, or exhausted or anything but I knew an episode was starting. I don't usually have a lot of manic episodes but man they are troublesome for me. They make me feel restless and I end up looking for something to do. That's when I tend to start learning something, this time tho I cleaned my entire room, took out my knitting needles and continued on a half-finished blanket I started on my last episode. Then on Sunday I got very touchy and snapped at my mom for almost everything. I feel bad whenever that happens but I just can't control it. I'm still feeling it and I'm going on vacations on Friday, I just hope I don't ruin it for my mom and grandma with my moody self. I haven't taken medications in over a yearr but I wish I still have some...

I don't know anything about you but since you are aware of something happening, that has to be a good sign and maybe staying busy would help.

Nicole, I'm glad you are aware that you're feeling manic because some people with bi-polar disorder are oblivious to the fact that they're getting manic or depressed.

I have a few friend who are manic depressive. I know you need to use that energy somehow. It is hard when we are snappish, yet we know what we are doing. I am sorry. Hope vacation is good.

I hope you're doing better. Perhaps you need to see your doctor about your manic episodes and get some medication to help.
