A cruise, then surgery!

Some of you have prayed for our daughter Tammy after the car accident she was in and I so very much appreciate all the prayers. She called last night after her appointment with the Ortho doc and she's scheduled for hip surgery December 3. I praise God that most likely they can do the arthroscopic surgery through several tiny holes. And the surgeon said it's possible when they get in there that it might be inflammation that they can clean out without having to actually repair anything. So that's what we're praying for. So, again I request your prayers for our girl. She'll be on crutches for a while, but thankfully she works from her home office most of the time, so she won't have to be on her feet all day. She, her husband and son are leaving soon on a cruise, then about a week later she'll have her surgery. She hasn't fallen lately (from the hip giving way), so I'm sure she'll take it easy and be careful on the ship. Life happens, doesn't it? But I'm thankful there are surgeons who are skilled, my daughter has insurance, she has a good husband who can help with their nine year old, and most of all I'm thankful that God is still the God Who Heals. Have any of you had hip surgery? How did your recovery go?

I will keep her in my prayers. No, I have never had hip surgery, but I have had other types of surgeries.

Yes, I think a lot of surgeries are much easier than they were years ago. Remember when people stayed in the hospital after gall bladder surgery for two weeks? Now it's out-patient in some places.
