Going to try oil painting...

Today at Wal-Mart I got some oil paints, brushes, and canvases so I can try out oil painting. I got what is more affordable to try it out. If it goes well and I could actually sell some of them then I might pay for wrapped canvases and better oil paints and brushes.
I'll share a picture once I do my first one. I'll probably give it a try over the weekend when I have more time.
Do you do oil painting? How about another kind of painting? What is your favorite painting medium?
P.S. I am sharing a digital design I did. It says prisma because I edited it with that app. Hope you like it!

@MommyOfEli2013 Oil paints are really different right? I haven't seen them or bought them. I will buy one. Can we use them to paint on normal paper too?

@shubhu3 Yes they are very different....normally you see acrylic paint in stores. Not sure over there what you have available. I don't know if you can use them on normal paper, I guess you could since you can use them on canvases like you would acrylic paint. I am just starting out with oil paints, if you want to learn more about it, Bob Ross was a great teacher in that medium. He is no longer with us....but someone has posted his shows on YouTube.

I'm glad you like it! And this will be my first try at oil paints, so we'll see how it goes! I haven't heard of those types of paints...only kind I've used before is acrylic.

@ledante I always wash my brushes after anyways...so I will be sure to wash them when I do oil painting.

Yes, I am probably in over my head! Oh yes, I have watched Bob Ross....got to beat the devil out of the brushes when you clean them lol

@MommyOfEli2013 with watercolors and acrylics, you can still salvage a brush if you let the media dry on them, but with oils? might as well toss the brush...

That sounds awesome, no I don't paint at all. I don't have that kinda talent and no imagination when it comes to stuff like that. Look forward to seeing your art.
