Despite the severe damage that has destroyed the town of Paradise California, one story of a heroic act came to light recently. Dana Ray Cummings who works a garbage collector in Paradise was ordered by his employer to leave the area as fast he can since the fire was ready to consume the town. Dana then drove his garbage out of the town as fast as he could. He wanted to make sure that everyone had fled town for a safer area. Then Dana saw a senior lady named Margaret Newsum who could not leave her home due to her ailing back that she was recovering from was sitting outside her home. Dana then was able to take Margaret away from her home and safely leave the burning city in the nick of time. Margaret calls Dana her savior. On the other hand Dana insists he is not a hero. He was doing his job.

@Hannihar I agree with you since news shows today are full of bad news that makes me depressed.

This mean the old woman is alone in her home? It is very good that someone lend a helping hand.

Margaret lives along in the city. She thanked Dana for opening his love to her and get her out of town safely.

That makes me so happy. Most of the casualties were in that city. I recently started watching a show about a couple who flip houses in Paradise, California. Now all I can think of are those people and did they get out okay. The people who bought those houses, are they okay?

Dana is a hero for saving Margaret's life since the odds of escaping the fire alive were slim and none.

Oh. This is one good story to hear despite the horror of the fire. I still believed that there are many good, kindhearted people out there. Kudos!

I wouldn't say that was doing his job unless he considers part of his job to watch out for others. It is nice that he cared enough to help her, though.

Dana admitted that making sure everyone was safe is the reason he helped Margaret get out of harm's way.
