Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 35 degrees F here at the Jersey Shore. We are supposed to get rain today. I'm not happy that it is this cold but I'm happy that it isn't any colder as the rest of the state is supposed to get snow today. That is one benefit of living so close to the ocean--we stay a bit warmer than inland during the winter. We were out late last night for trivia so I'm tired this morning. It is going to be a long day at work. My husband is lucky because he works from home on Thursdays so he can sleep until 8:30 today. No such luck for me. I'm already looking forward to my post-work nap! What's everyone up to today?

Living close to the ocean hasn't kept us warmer the last 24 hours. I haven't looked at the thermometer yet this morning, but yesterday afternoon it was -8°C with a wind chill of -17°C. I haven't converted to Fahrenheit, but know that the wind chill is below zero even in Fahrenheit....it's cold. Plain and simple. It does look like we will get sunshine today ahead of the storm that is moving up from the US tomorrow.

We have your rain here. Pouring rain. My son refused to take the umbrella to the bus stop. I guess umbrellas are not "cool".
