MSG- Monosodium Glutamate Is it safe?

MSG is a flavor enhancer. I would say it perks up the taste of soup, vegetables and most dishes. MSG has been in the market for generations yet of late there seems to be a lot of issues as to the safety of the product. As the cliche "anything should be taken in moderation" goes, just do not overdo it. For years now, we have refrained from using MSG in our home. Instead of MSG we make sure to saute the spices properly such as garlic, tomatoes, onions, ginger. What's your take on this subject? Is it safe or not.

I don't think is safe. The best are natural spices.

just remember that every thing that is over used a long time may turn out bad over time.
