@db20747 When I get a cold I stay home and watch movies. I drink a lot of water, eat lightly and sleep a lot. Medications don't work on me.

@db20747 Copper cookware has an antibacterial effect because germs and bacteria cannot survive on copper.

Does it work really? I am not so sure. We used to have copper water jugs and pots in the house when we were little.. now no one uses those things any more.. guess we were healthier back then.

@db20747 I think we had our share of cold but we get sick more often now.. maybe the age factor and the pollution are also to blame.

I saw the other day in a store that they sell socks now with cooper in them, which supposedly is to promote health. They say your feet absorb the copper which then helps your body. But the one flaw I see in that reasoning is that your feet sweat OUT toxins and other minerals, so if they are sweating out stuff from our body, how are they also absorbing the copper? Sounds to me like a gimmick. But I have read several times where copper has been used as a healing mechanism. It seems the ancient Romans were very keen on using copper to heal.

Interesting! I stay free from colds with a well known nature medicine - Echinacea Purpurea - A. Vogel has found it a long time ago while visiting native Americans - we buy it here in health stores as Echinaforce - It works best taken before getting the cold or right when one feels a cold is beginning
