Oops wrong concert

Some time ago I read a post on Reddit. The person wrote that they liked Red Hot Chili Peppers and they were really excited to find cheap concert tickets. They bought a ticket, but when they arrived they discovered that they had made a mistake. The band's name was Red Hot Chili Pipers (a bagpipe band) The post reminded me of an experience I had in the past. I had a friend who loved gospel music. One day she told me that there would be a free gospel concert in our town and she asked me if I wanted to come. I usually listen to other kinds of music, but I like to try new things and I told her that I would come. We arrived about 10 minutes before the concert was going to start and we found a place to sit. My friend was very excited about the free concert. She didn't know the name of the band, but she was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately she misunderstood something when she read about the concert. It was not a gospel band. The band actually played really loud heavy metal. My friend couldn't stand it and she wanted to leave immediately. We left the room and we went to a cafe. We had a nice evening together, but of course my friend was very disappointed.

I guess it pays to check again before you buy the tickets. Red Hot Chili Pipers are really funny. Who knew?

I have never listened to the music of Red Hot Chili Pipers, but I know Red Hot Chili Peppers, and I imagine that they are very different from eachother

@Porcospino I think there is probably a big difference. I don't think I ever listened to the Peppers and I know never the Pipers.

@akalinus I know some of the songs by Red Hot Chili Peppers and they don't have much in common with a bagpipe band, so I understand that the redditor got disappointed. I guess they will check the name again next time they buy a ticket.

Oh my goodness, I would have also left immediately, I cannot stand loud music, especially heavy metal.

We we really surprised when the music started, but not in a good way. The music was so loud, I almost couldn't hear my friend's voice and it was a relief to leave the room.

@LadyDuck Yes, it is risky to listen to very loud music. I like music, but I don't want to listen to very loud music. At least my friend and I didn't pay for the concert, it would have been worse if we had wasted money as well.

@Porcospino You risk to ruin your ears drum with such loud music.

@m_audrey6788 My friend and I were very surprised when the music started. It was very different from our expectations and none of us liked it.

That is good. It can be disappointing if you expect a totally different kind of music.
