Time to complete this song trivia edition with our fine feathered friends before moving onto other favorite animal tunes. Remember, the early bird catches the worm, or in this case, the correct songs and artists in today's quiz. Enjoy today's video by the "artist formerly known as...." A great entertainer and musician, a creative force, and an artist who left us to soon. The "Purple One" gave us some great songs! So as you figure out these clues here is an old idiom to keep in mind: "Birds of a feather flock together," however not this species of birds.... Can you name the songs and artists from these musical hints: 1. This American soft-rock duo charted a few hits in the 70's, one about breezy summer weather which charted at #6 on Billboard's Hot 100. Both members have long been public advocates of the Bahá'í Faith. This tune includes lyrics, complimented by a chant-like chorus, and scripture quotes from the Baha'i faith. The title of today's bird trivia song is about one of the smallest birds in existence. To supply energy needs, this bird drinks nectar, a sweet liquid inside certain flowers. Fun fact: Before their commercial success in the 70's this duo, along with Glen Campbell, formed a group called "Glen Campbell and the GCs" which played at The Crossbow in Van Nuys, California. The band only lasted a couple of years before the members went their separate ways. 2. This bird tune is a 1963 song written and recorded by Inez and Charlie Foxx. It was remade in the 70's and sung as a duet by this female singer and her folk rock/pop husband at the time. This singer had a string of hits during the 70's among them the chart topping "Your So Vain" and a #2 hit, "Nobody Does It Better" from the 1977 James Bond film, The Spy Who Loved Me. The kind of bird this artist sings about is known for mimicking the sounds of other birds. Bonus: This song was recorded as a demo by one of the band members in 1977, years after the breakup of his original group. The finished product was completed by the remaining three members in 1994, recording around the deceased band member's vocals. The song picked up a Grammy for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal and Best Music Video, Short Form. The video features a man playing a ukulele at the end of the video. The title of the tune is a bird idiom sometimes used to mean having no worries or troubles. Liner Notes- Besides writing and composing the track, "When Doves Cry," Prince played all the instruments on the song. And remarkably, this is the only song with a kind of bird in the title to reach #1 on the Hot 100. "Rockin' Robin" - both the Bobby Day original and Michael Jackson cover - ended at #2. "Fly Like An Eagle" by the Steve Miller Band also finished at #2. And the envelopes please.....Whodunnit? If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. You can "Count On Me" to provide more clues. As always, thanks for reading and responding to my music post !!!! Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com Photo- fanpop.com

1) The bird is the hummingbird but I don't know the song or can't think of it or the group. 2) This one came quickly: Carly Simon and Mockingbird. Bonus) Is the group the Beatles?

@dgobucks226 Yes, I know the Beatles song but couldn't think of it. I can think of 2 more Beatles songs with bird titles, one by Paul and another one by John. .

Not to shabby! Way to pay attention to those clues #1- Hummingbird was sung by a 70's duo called Seals and Crofts. # 2- No wild goose chase with that answer! Yes, many of my quizzes use The Beatles. The song Free As A Bird....
Super rare video of Seals & Crofts. The video quality is poor, but is the best I could find. I did some restoration on the audio and it's excellent. This is ...

So it's not your "Swan Song" Here are two key clues found in my post. 1. The title of today's bird trivia song is about one of the smallest birds in existence. To supply energy needs, this bird drinks nectar. 2. The kind of bird this artist sings about is known for mimicking the sounds of other birds. Perhaps that might help you name the songs. This photo will definitely help with #1. Hope you don't "lay an egg."

1. England Dan of England Dan & John Ford Coley was Jim's brother. 2. Now everybody have you heard, we're gonna sing about how much we love each other, then we'll divorce! I never will forget Don Imus, when he was a VJ on VH-1, playing "Her Town Too" (which JT said wasn't about their divorce, it just seemed that way), and saying, "I'll bet ol' James is happy now that he got rid of liver lips." Bonus: FREE BIRD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good thing that came out long after the fact, can you imagine the Fab Four having to hear people yell of "Free Bird!!!!!!!!!"???

1. Yes, sadly Dan passed away. 2. I guess Carly and James were just mocking each other when they sang that duet together 3. Back then the Beatles playing "Free Bird" would of taken up half the Fab Four's concert time (just kidding, sort of) Thanks for those terrific responses Not a "fowl" answer in the bunch!!!

I do know the song, Your So Vain. However, I have no clue who sings it. So, I'll need to pass on these clues yet again. At least I knew who the purple man was before I read it in the last paragraph.

#1- One of the smallest birds in existence was the "Hummingbird" also the song title from the duo Seals & Crofts. #2- You were definitely on the right "flight path" here! Although wrong song. It was Carly Simon & James Taylor's version of "Mockingbird" (a bird who mimics other song birds). The Bonus was the Beatles/Free As A Bird. You could answer The Beatles for many of my quizzes and get a correct answer. I'm partial to the Fab Four
