Its a kind of cultural resort. The houses are built from old woods and even the architectural designs are patterned to the period of 18th century. It feels like you're living on that era because even the rooms have the fixtures and furnitures and the aura of the past. Filipino houses of the past century of the well to do family and medium class are usually built in two storey mainly consists of hardwoods like yakal, narra, kamagong among others. Because of modernization these wooden mansions are slowly fading away. The houses now have the modern architecture of cemented, glass, fiberglass and so on. Now, I have the taste of the past staying in this resort.

Was that an old house that was just renovated? How about its rooms, do they have the old beds with those tall structure where one can put a mosquito net? That is the craze now, old houses fortified and some renovations done, then they turn it into a hotel. We have also one in our hometown, an old house by a rich family. It has an eagle made of cement on the top of its roof. They turned it into a hotel and calls it Casa Simeon. It's also in fb.

Its an old house mostly constructed from old woods and logs. The room also are wooden though some of them are new designs already but the design still reflect the past. Yes this is now the trend in resort.

Where is that located. That is true that seems to be happening now that heritage houses are slowly fading because of neglect from the owners and many are trying to change because they wanted to be with the modern times already.

@ilocosboy True although there is supposed to be a commission that should protect/[preserve that but I guess they could not afford to implement it on every house or establishment that exist. That is why many gets demolished and replaced by a new and sturdier building.

Only few are maintaining the old house. Well, to think its not cheap to rehabilitate old house, its even more costly than building from stones and sands.

I have stayed in a heritage house/hotel in Las Casas, Bagac, Bataan. It's like I was transported back in time. Also, you can see the old houses that came from different parts of the country like Bulacan, Pampanga, etc. Each house has its own story to tell.
