NaNoWriMo - Day 14 & 15

Hey all. I know I haven't been here today. I did get a lot of work done on Thread of Evidence and New Horizons. I'm determined to get both books finished either this month for New Horizons, and that is now looking possible. I moved the chains today with the book both in numbers and with the situation. I've been trying to work it out off the keyboard - never works. I need my hands on the keyboard for the story to play itself out. I had to do some calculating with yesterday's numbers since I already had them erased for today's numbers. At least the NaNoWriMo numbers. My book totals are set in ink so I can keep up with what I'm doing. I also added a new buddy yesterday. DW Davis to my buddy writing team. He's doing a terrific job with his novel, as are the other members of my team. So, here are yesterday's numbers. Total book word count: 136,626. Total NaNoWriMo daily word count: 2099. Total NaNoWriMo word count: 29167. Today's totals: Total book word count: 138,987. Total daily total: 2362. Total NaNoWriMo 15 day total: 33629. And one more chapter of Thread of Evidence edited bringing me to chapter 32. If I can get a chapter a day on Thread of Evidence, I will have no problem making the December deadline. In other news. It was the Packers and Seahawks on Thursday Night Football with Seattle taking the win at 27-24. It was a good game by both teams. It did look like the Pack would win for most of the game. However, as we all know, looks can be deceiving. That was my day today. Nothing more than writing, editing, and football. I did make a great chili for supper. I used spaghetti squash for the noodles. No beans as they aren't part of my diet. In Wisconsin, we use noodles in our chili. I've tried unsuccessfully to coach the other states in the proper way to make chili, but it never worked. You might be able to get a bowl of chili without noodles in Wisconsin, but you might need to make it a special request. For now, I'm going to try to get a few notifications done. If I don't, I might lose the 9th tomorrow. If that happens, I have both my posts and my e-mails to get what I lose here. I hope your day for those on the far side is going well, and your night on the near side is too, if you haven't gone to bed yet. I will soon. Thanks for reading.

I like Mexican chili, even without meat, I would not put noodles in a chili.

@just4him Original Mexican chili was without meat, the proof is that when there is meat it's called "chili con carne" that means chili with meat.

Every year I say I will do the Nano thing but yet again when it started it was impossible to do so. I guess there is always next year. Good on you for doing it again,

@just4him I just wish I could be as prolific. There have been so many setbacks. I am still working on a cover for Finding Jesus and the singles book formatting is delayed by the hospital experience for me and now my dad is in hospital and I am seriously hoping I am not going down with anything else. I prayed for healing for someone yesterday so wonder if my own stuff is a bit of an attack. The guy felt he could hear better - but in the time we had in the detention centre we got as far as trees walking and so I believe the other men will finish the ministry.

@Jackalyn You've done good work there. I hope you won't come down with anything else. In time everything will come together.

Thank you. Now with 9 days left, I have less than 7K words to go. I'll work to the end of the month and expect to be well over 50K. I'll have New Horizons finished today and will work on the second in the series to finish out the month.

It's how they make it here. I didn't know it any other way until I left home.

Thank you. New Horizons is now in the last chapter, and I'll start the sequel before the end of the month.

Is it just enough doing more than 2000 words, couldn't you make it 3000 words. But as I see it, you are in full throttle of your book.

If I had more time in a day and the words were flowing well, I could do more than 2000. I try for that number as the goal is 1667 per day. Some days I can't do more than the goal.
