Disgusting!

I had hoped never to see this nasty stuff ever again, but here it is. Who would have ever thought the snow plow would be here before our final fall cleanup? Fortunately, our new sedan has a button to press for snow. I just never thought we’d have to use it. My husband’s hybrid car is great in the snow. We just can’t use our sports car. At least the roads were clear this morning, although they were quite slippery last night. I will make reservations for our flight to Florida, and not a moment too soon. I’d rather see turquoise water, swaying palm trees, and beautiful flowers than this coating of white yuck! At least it’s melting!

We got some during the night also about 4 inches or so. First snowfall so far but definitely not the last. Bon voyage!

@DianneN Bon voyage to you, as you are going somewhere. The only trip I might take is a trip on the ice as I fall on my behind or worse.

We got a bit of snow as well. It started last night and it's still going. At least the kids are happy. They get to have fun in snow.

Oh, come on, it can't be that bad! And It looks quite nice, I see nothing disgusting here . But you know, if you dislike snow so much, think about it this way: snow makes you appreciate turquoise waters and sun more. Plus, you'll be there soon, so "Good bye snow!"

@DianneN I think is a good way to look at things . How can you know good if you've never seen bad? Of course, it's better to see just enough so you can understand, seeing the extreme... that's not so good .

@bunnybon7 We usually go the first week of December, but fly now. We bought a car to keep in Florida. My husband hates the long days of driving.

@DianneN I agree, ice is worse than snow, this is what I fear most here. We are obliged to have snow tires in winter, but too many coming from Italy do not respect, so their cars spin out of control creating accidents.

We sure did get snow. Most of it has melted, thank goodness. My granddaughter and her mom were in New Jersey at my granddaughter's first ice practice in almost one month, and it took them almost 5 hours instead of 30 minutes to return back to New York over the GW Bridge. Cars were spinning out of control on the ice. Ice is worse than snow.

No way! We will become residents for 6 months and 1 day, however. Our home here in CT will be considered our vacation home. We will become official Floridians!

@Janet357 You making be thinking of snow plows. Usually the highway and town trucks have them and smaller trucks use them to plow driveways for a fee, of course.

I know the feeling, we haven't had snow, but temperatures are at freezing at night, I have trouble with my car cranking. I hate this kind of weather. Never thought I would see it so soon.

It converts the car to AWD - all wheel drive like an SUV. I haven't had to use it, yet, and hope I never need to.

And I just asked in a comment if you had snow yet. And here it is. You need at least one snowfall before you leave for Florida. I hope you have your tickets booked now. It's great your car is equipped with a snow button. I never heard of that, but it shouldn't surprise me. Cars can do everything except wash your dishes these days.
