Being A Handyman

Being a handyman best describes my status around the house today. I installed 10 magnetic cabinet door catches in the kitchen, removed and replaced 14 sunroom windows for cleaning, and repaired the vacuum. I also helped with cleaning those sunroom windows, I dusted the brick-a-brack in the living rooms and the shelves they are on, and somewhere amongst all that found time to approve the final draft of my latest book and mark it to be published. So, I hope you agree, I've had a busy Saturday thus far. My missus has been just as busy. She vacuumed and shampooed the rugs and steam cleaned the kitchen and bathroom floors. What is the reason for all this frantic cleaning? Visitors are coming. Son2 and his girlfriend are coming for Thanksgiving and will be staying for a few days. If you celebrate American Thanksgiving, are you preparing for guests or are you going off to be a guest? If you are not in the US, are there any other holidays or festivals you celebrate this time of year? FYI: The girl in the bikini has nothing to do with the subject of my post. I was simply intrigued that her photo came up among all the tools and project photos when I searched for "handyman" on Pixabay.

Maybe the girl in the photo needs a handyman? Time for you to remove the tool belt and relax if you have received the missus' permission!

@DWDavis Sounds like you were very busy getting ready for the visitors. Are you a handyman any other time of the year?

I am when I need to be. With my arthritis, I cannot do as much as I once could.

@Hannihar Thank you. It is a "gift" from my mother's side of the family. Since my hip replacement in January, I've been a lot better.

We spot clean every week or so, but this kind of cleaning is a twice a year happening, corresponding with visits by sons.

You were busy. I'm glad you have another book ready to publish. Thanksgiving is exciting, I know you're looking forward to your son and girlfriend coming for the holiday. I don't know what I'm doing yet for Thanksgiving. I know it's only four days away.

The ebook went live today. An issue with the cover caused the paperback to be delayed. I hope to have it fixed quickly and the book available by Friday.

Seems like you have accomplished quite a lot. Ahem, as for the girl in the pic...if she's my reward I'm all hammer and nails, let me tell you. Not sure if I'd actually accomplish actually fixing anything...but if she THOUGHT I did I'd be all over that.
