Reduce, recycle, reuse

I hate plastic wastes being dumped into landfills. I try my best to recycle and reuse platstiic bottles and cans. Here is one way in which they get recycled into my garden. I enjoy doing this as it adds a little more fun and excitement to my garden. The down side is my friends have started to dump them on me. How do you recycle your plastic waste?

Maybe you want to reconsider that to save our little planet. Even one person recycling stuff makes a difference.

I buy very little that needs recycling but we have a recycling bin if something needs recycling.

@1hopefulman Reduce is the best policy.. when that is done the rest gets controlled automatically.

We bring plastic to recycle bins, the government takes care to recycle plastic, glass, paper, tin cans and batteries. You did a nice job here.

@sofssu Switzerland is doing a great job in recycling. It's at 5th place among the best recycling countries.

I recycle clothes and glass sometimes. I dont recycle plastic but i dont buy often plastic bags.

@Moon24 Most of the house cleaning stuff comes in plastic.. so i do have to recycle them. Glad you recycle the clothes and glass jars.

@sofssu I had special bag insted plastic bags but people think is not beautiful to have that bag. They looked me strange.

I like your plastic bottle swan pot. I planted a few local herbs in pots makes out of 5L cooking oil bottle. Nothing fancy, though. I simply cut the top, rinse and dried the bottles.

You are so creative! Here in Singapore there is no landfill. All our rubbish (if not recycled) will end up into a incinerator. The ashes will be use to fill up an island.

We have a service coming every week to pick up our recyclables and they deal with it.

@DianneN Most plastics these days are recyclable .but we don't have an efficient system in place here. I see a lot in the landfills.

@sofssu Wow, that is cool what you do but not fun that your friends dump them on you. I do not have a garden so I put my recycling in the bins around my neighborhood.

We don't recycle that much of our plastic waste we just throw it in non-biodegradable trash bins.

That's very artistic of you, sofs-san. Japan is having trouble with where to dump their plastic now since China started banning plastic waste import.

@sol_cee Hmm.. all countries are going to face this problem.. we need to learn to reduce use of plastic.. Recently some countries have been laying roads with plastic that cannot be recycled.. and this is proving to be much stronger than using tar or concrete.

Like Anna, Canada takes care of all recycle, plastic, glass, paper etc.They do not land in the ground. I like your swan...

@PainsOnSlate I know most of Europe and the Americas do not have issues with recycling.. but here though they say they do its not very effective.. so we need to do our bit.. Thanks a ton.
