Lets say you are in luxury hotel. Of course, upon entering you will see the beautiful package and labeled toiletries already in the table or in the bathroom. You know the quality, fragrance and the name of hotel is a printed in bottles/plastic bottles of shampoo, soap, toothpaste among others. Beauty as itvis and tempting to just bring it home. I know some of my friends/relstives are like that. "It will be my collection." They said. Its funny but its true. Good reason or not but they said it was already been paid of so they have the reason to bring it home. Very well said, but some feel its not a cool thing. What do you think?

I think it is fine if you have paid for the room.

We bring it home and give it to those who love to have them.

The younger me took them . But then I ended up with a drawer full of little bottles and things that never got used. So now I just leave them. In fact, we bring our own soaps/shampoos because we found the hotel stuff dries out our skin (no matter how luxurious they make it seem on the packaging).

Why not? I will bring them home to give to the helpers. Anyway, it is indeed part of what we paid and part of what they give to hotel occupants to use during their stay. However, I seldom do, because I don't bring soaps and shampoos if I know we will be staying in hotel, so I use them all.

@ilocosboy They had that so the customers can bring it home and serve as a souvenir for their stay at their hotels.

And to think some of the posh hotels have their signature scent and just for them.

I used to do it and still occasionally do but not so often now. I put them in our spare bathroom for our guests when we have them.

That’s why it’s not packed in expensive bottles. I bring them along when I feel like

I bring my own shampoos and soaps. The only time I ever brought any home with me was when we stayed at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong. I loved the smell of their entire collection by Floris of London. Actually, we went to London soon after, and I asked to buy that same scent at Floris of London, but they told me the scent was created special for the Mandarin Hotel and wasn't sold. Boy, was I ever disappointed.

Oh my, that means you have to return in Mandarin Oriental in Hongkong to feel the scent. That's how influential hotels are, having their own signatures scent.

@ilocosboy I'd go back in a heartbeat. I can still smell that delicious scent in my mind.
