Have you ever made flourless peanut butter cookies?

I will make some of my very favorite cookies today. Flourless peanut butter cookies are very good. The intense taste of the sugar and the peanut butter come to the forefront without flour. You use a few simple ingredients, and that is it. I am not sure I will go back to regular peanut butter cookies, unless I am making them for a group. All hail flourless cookies!

I make those for my son-in-law who can't have gluten. I use one cup of peanutbutter, one cup of sugar, one egg, and a little vanilla extract. Is that how you make yours? Sometimes I throw in some chocolate chips.

I am severely allergic to peanuts, not something I could even prepare for the others.

I think my girlfriend makes flourless cookies. Actually, I think she substitutes something in place of the flour. Can't remember what it is she uses. Almond flour? Is that a thing? For some reason that's what is jumping out of my head.

@snowy22315 I'm not much of a cook, so I don't know the answer to this, but why is flour needed at all if you can make the cookies without them?

They are scrumptious..most of the recipes say you should use natural peanut butter, but they are fine with regular peanut butter.

@paigea I think they taste best with that, it is kind of a deeper, richer flavor.

I don´t buy peanut butter. Thius has been an acquired taste for me. We don´t have it in my country.

I have not tried flourless peanut butter cookies. What do you put in it as substitute for flour?

No peanut butter cookies here. If I need a peanut butter fix I just get myself a scoop of peanut butter. No flour, no sugar, just straight peanut butter (I buy the natural stuff).
