Last night's benefit for my daughter's sister-in-law was a great success. I am not sure of the numbers yet but there was an awesome turn out. Nice to see so much love and support. There were so many great auction items up for grabs. I got a few of them which i will use for Christmas gifts. The toonie toss and 50/50 draw were a great success.
Angela, the one who the benefit was for, and her husband were there. It was nice to see them glowing with such positive attitudes. She was overwhelmed with how so many people came together to support her. Some were people she had never met until last night.
For those of you wondering what a toonie toss is...it's a game where you have a 40 ounce bottle of vodka or whatever you choose on the floor and people have to stand back 15ft or so and toss toonies (which are Canadian two dollar coins) at it. The one who gets the closest to it wins the bottle and all the toonies tossed goes to the cause. It is not as easy as it sounds.
All in all it was a great night.

It sounds like it was a successful and fun night.
I love watching the toonie toss, we have a niece who has an arm on her like you wouldn't believe, she usually beats everyone and walks off with the prize.
And we usually set the target further back-just as a challenge.
I hope that the support remains in place for this woman and her family.
