Do you wish to be in a different situation?

For days now, I have been thinking about retiring. Not just quitting work but not working at all. I want to go back home and be a full time housewife. I’m here now with a mug of hot chocolate in hand, mulling about life, weighing the pros and cons of what I am going to do. I sorely miss my family. Then I crack a little when I saw this picture. Aptly done, Iron Man. lol

Only you know if you can manage if you retire. If you can, it would be wonderful to stay full time with your family.

That is what I thought. Or she can put up a business at home.

@sol_cee when it comes to deciding my problem, I make a list of all positive and negative things like in quitting a job. If the positive outweighs the negative, then I would decide the quitting but I will always hear what my heart has to say.

Please how it turned out for you. For us who find reaching a decision quite difficult and confusing.

It won't be easy Sol but you are the only one can decide. If you choose to be a housewife, there are still plenty of opportunities indoor for you. What I mean is home-based work. Plus you can see your kids grow and take care of them. Just weigh things first Sol. Or make another year to save more.

You need to think about it carefully. If you want to be a full-time housewife, you can still work as an online freelancer.you can be a data entry specialist, transcriptionist, real estate virtual assistant, English as A Second Language Tutor, etc.

I am "retired" as I need to take care of my husband, and I have been advised that I do not need to work full time, necessarily. I do need to make a living somehow, though. I can understand you missing being with your family. What is it you do?

I always want to be in a situation where I do not have to work, and while each day I get closer and closer to that goal with investments, and earnings from dividends from stocks etc., I am still not quite there. So, I do what I have to do, invest wisely, and keep the faith that knowing that one day my income will be entirely replaced by dividends and proceeds from stock. It is coming, but it is not here right now. I am content with that. But my motivation comes from TRYING to get there sooner rather than later.

Lots of pressure are there to control both home and office. But at the end when the salary is in your hand it will be a great satisfaction. Yes you are tired.Quite natural. So if you are okay after your long journey then go home and enjoy.

If the finance is not a problem, I think it is alright to retire. Life is short, we shall enjoy it and do something we like.

Finances will always be the main problem to consider. I don’t know if it’s only me but I think the higher the salary a person gets, the higher his needs also become.

You should decide after your annual break...Whatever you do , it will be for the best. Don't over think.Take care and love When hubby got transferred, I too thought I should quit and go with him but after 4years still at my job. The picture is very good...Maybe it is a sign that you can do something different. Have you looked into online tuition sites
