A new NASCAR Champion

Joey Logano the driver of the number 22 Penske car won the 2018 NASCAR Racing Championship today at the Homestead Florida Race Track. Each year, a champion is crowned and awarded at this race track after a very tough car racing Season.
The rules package have changed a lot in the past Seasons and this year, coming into the winning race, 4 of the drivers accumulated enough points , and those 4 had the chance to win today.
What is nice about Joey Logano winning today is he was the only one of the top 4 who had not won a Championship before.
It truly was nice to see him win for the first time. He is now a part of the NASCAR history of Champions.

I haven't been into Nascar for a long time, it makes me think of my grandpa as he use to make fun of calling it nasty car lol. Good memories.

It is interesting, my parents and sister do not like it at all. I only started watching it when my older son started liking it as a child. I would watch it with him and I got to really enjoying it.

Joey is a local boy who made it big, his father is one of my dear friends cousins and they get to go to many of his races and visit him in Charlotte. We are all very proud of him here in Connecticut. I remember him as a little boy, he went to our church and our school.
