Anyone Else Celebrating Holidays On Un-traditional Days?

Is Christmas coning early for anyone else this year? Due to crazy schedules, slight family conflict (nothing too spectacular, just the fact that my sensitive hearing and my sister's yappy puppy don't play well together), and travel plans for some relatives, Mom has decided that Christmas will be a month early this year. We will be celebrating Christmas this Sunday afternoon, November 25th, at our favourite Danish restaurant. As a result of this, I've had to move the money around a bit (one less month to get a budget together) and order gifts on the fly (thank God I have Amazon Prime). The only thing really left to do is make the little Marzipan Christmas trees I want to hand out. I'm going to make those on Friday and Saturday, so they'll be fresh and ready on Sunday morning. Is anyone else doing anything like this in 2018, or will Christmas and other holiday go according to their traditional timelines? If you are celebrating early (or late) what will be your reasons?

i'm tempted to move thanksgiving this year.my boss has both me and my brother scheduled-with means i'd have to put the turkey in way late in the day.

My husband and I celebrate Christmas with the kids on Christmas Eve. Due to him working as a metal health tech and he has night shifts we do it on Christmas Eve so the kids can see what they get and spend time with there dad. This year he had to work Christmas Eve so we are doing the morning of Christmas Eve

We're having Thanksgiving on Wednesday instead of Thursday. It's more important to be with family than a particular day. Have fun with your early Christmas!
